Here is a list of fun facts about fengshui and lunar astrology in general. While not exhaustive, these nuggets of information will let you gain some insight into the tools used to help you gain a lead in life.

Some Famous Fengshui Configurations

Some houses are more blessed than others; their positioning, the internal setup, the surrounding landscape and the alignment of the house to its inhabitants are in perfect harmony with one another. Remember this： a house by itself is neither good nor bad; the effects will only get activated when the human factor comes in. For certain houses, it is indeed possible to set up certain configurations to bring pronounced wealth, health and peace to its inhabitants. In general, a peace setup is 20X easier to achieve than a wealth setup. Which is why it is easier to be average, but you need mega tons of blessing credits to be very wealthy indeed!

What is a "palace", a "star" and an "activator" in lunar astrology?

In lunar astrology, a "palace" or more commonly known as a "house", is a location where physical events occur. There are 12 palaces in a lunar chart, namely: Life, Siblings, Spouse. Children, Wealth, Health, Travel, Friends, Career, Property, Blessings, Parents. Each palace can symbolise much more than their name suggests though. So let's say that if your wealth palace is particularly good, then making money will be relatively easier for you as compared to the general population!

A "star" is an artificial construct in the birth chart used to symbolise certain traits and effects. There are over 108 stars in the lunar chart that can be used to explain stuff. For example if you are governed by the Amplifier (see the pictorial below), then the gift of the gab is already embedded in yiour genes! Use it well, and you are definitely on the way to success! Analysis of stars is very dominant in pop astrology because personality traits etc. can be inferred from the star combinations in the chart. While certain unique combinations can give more insight into the situation at hand, the heavy duty analysis of events will eventually be handed over to the activators governing that particular situation! What then, is an activator?

An "activator" is the key used to understand how an event unfolds. Typically, the type of event, how it will happen, why it will happen and when it will happen can be traced via the activators. There are 4 activators attached to many different stars and through special techniques, we can use the activators to plot a path to maximise the chances of obtaining the desired results! For example, why is it difficult for a couple to conceive? Upon activator analysis, we find that triggering event A at time zone 1 + event B at time zone 2 = success in conceiving! (this is why sometimes IVF fails; the failure of not triggering event A and B will drastically decrease the probability of IVF success. That said, for distinct couples, the events A,B,C... are uniquely different!)

Identifying and deploying these catalysts is instrumental in achieving success expeditiously - trust me when I tell you that fengshui is one of the best catalysts in expediting success, in evading certain pitfalls in life or in getting what you desire. The correct system of fengshui will give almost immediate tangible results, once the appropriate steps are implemented. Thus, the proper utilization of astrological knowledge and fengshui techniques is tantamount to unlocking your latent potential and in enhancing your momentum on the path to success.

Fengshui - A little background of as

Fengshui, which translates to "wind-water" in English, is an ancient Chinese practice that encompasses the arrangement of one's environment to harmonize with natural forces and promote well-being, prosperity, and good fortune. As the 39th generation holder, my fengshui lineage goes back to the Tang Dynasty (850AD +-), where the techniques are formalized by one of the founding fathers of fengshui, Master Yang Yun Song, who has written very prominent fengshui books such as the Heavenly Jade Classic and the Earth Shattering Dragon Classic. However, note that one cannot read a book and use the concepts; just like a surgeon will require years of practice to master his specialty. That said, the correct fengshui techniques can be utilized for a vast majority of issues. These can range from accelerating your wealth flows to making the entire family more harmonious or nailing that dream career opportunity. Even getting that romantic date that you always wanted! One could even reverse certain diseases through detailed fengshui calculations! Of course everything is subject to conditions (some houses will be unable to achieve certain configurations) but we can see the power of achieving results via the correct implementation of fengshui techniques.

There are two main schools of thought in fengshui, which diversifies to many different sub schools. The first is the Landscape/Form school. This school uses the aura effects of forms such as mountains and rivers on your place of residence to accelerate the required gains. The other is the Qi school which uses fengshui formulas and through its calculations, tell you where is the best placement of things in the home that can accelerate the required gains. The existence of conflicting techniques among various schools of fengshui reflects the diverse and often contrasting approaches that different philosophical or metaphysical systems may adopt. Such discrepancies can arise due to distinct underlying principles, objectives, or interpretations of fundamental concepts. The logic to me however, is straightforward. ANY SYSTEM, regardless of the theoretical considerations behind it, MUST WORK and PRODUCE TANGIBLE RESULTS. My working methodology is simple: once I have analyzed the layout of the home and the surrounding structures, I will tell you what are the issues inherent to the house and their solutions. Whenever possible, I will make the flowers of your labor bear fruit within the year. That's functional, powerful and effective fengshui.

From the feedback of my clients, it is indeed quite common to hear some self taught "master" say that "oh, it will take time (twenty years) for the wealth to come. Or, it's for the peace of the home (when no effects are observed for months and you had paid thousand of dollars - this a very potent self fulfilling prophecy). In another parallel universe, some other pseudo "master" will tell you to buy thousands of dollars of good luck artifacts for the ultimate boost in your wealth influx and career progression; trust me, except for a few artefacts, most items that are purchased for luck and wealth are literally useless. If you ever spend any money on items, a few hundred bucks is more than enough for useful products that produce real results. Of course, not all masters are shams - but do be mindful, and look for recommendations for a good practitioner that can best suit your needs. The master that you will find, to aid you in solving your current conundrums, is directly tied to how much blessing credits you have. What are blessing credits then? These are the unseen life tokens that you have accumulated through good deeds and via the kindness within. So whenever possible, do help out someone in need; you may be surprised where that may lead you to.

Currently, there are two to three common systems of fengshui being used, and many fengshui hobbyists do use these systems in varied ways. These are widely taught and discussed over the internet as they are relatively easy to implement. As for their efficacy, I will leave that to your better judgement. For example if you decide to put certain "objects" to increase your wealth, say a money plant or even crystals as per the instructions of said fengshui system, then give yourself a year; if your sales did not double, you did not get a salary raise, no measurable metric improved in any substantial manner, then perhaps you should move on. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. If the execution were to be that simple, then everyone will be wealthy, healthy and contented yes?

Personally, through my experience and through my clients' histories, there are very few artifacts that will cause measurable effects in reality. As to what works and what doesn't, I will tell you during the consultation. In fact, I will even show you a video to illustrate what I mean by measurable effects!

The ancient texts are an interplay of abstract concepts and tangible realities. As a safeguard, for each crucial statement or technique, there are associated conditions. These conditions are passed down from generation to generation of practitioners - from the master to the student. Without fulfilling said conditions when setting up fengshui configurations, nothing would actually work in practice! There are also special tricks to super accelerate the results for the configurations, which will otherwise take some time to manifest their results. These tricks will be not be in the ancient texts but are passed on from teacher to student or acquired through hard earned experience. Now you know why that intelligence pagoda did not make your friend's kid smarter, or that vase of beautiful rosy flowers did not bring in any romantic suitors and why that fish tank did not spike your friend's wealth in any conceivable manner - except making your helper clean that fish tank more often!

I do hope that, after 20 years of distilling the correct facts and techniques with the wisdom from my mentors, that the correct version and implementation of this ancient wisdom can help you redirect your life towards its intended trajectory - a life characterized by tranquility and prosperity.

Lunar Astrology - A little background

Traditional methods of divination include four pillars of destiny, lunar astrology, name analysis, qi men dun jia, da liu ren etc. just to name a few. Each type of divination possesses its own distinct advantages and disadvantages - some are fast in getting general trends, others more accurate in deducing minute details. Lunar astrology has been around for around a thousand years, originating in the Song Dynasty. Rumored to be used exclusively by the royal family, this astrological system has the reputation of being very easy to learn but being extremely hard to master! An astrology inquiry starts by using your birth details (year, day, month, time) to formulate your birth chart upon which analysis can be conducted.

There are primarily two schools of thought in lunar astrology, which uses the lunar calendar instead of the Gregorian calendar as its foundational basis. Most practitioners combine to a degree the two schools of thought to achieve a all rounded approach. The first school is the Star School of Lunar astrology. Note that the "stars" here are artificial constructs on the chart and not actual stars as we know of. In this school, heavy emphasis is placed on the relationships between stars and their innate characteristics. A simple equation describing these relationships would be certain combinations = certain effects! A total of 108 stars could be used to form interconnected relationships. Drawing an analogy from pop astrology, one can think of a Leo being confident and extroverted and that a Leo isn't compatible with a Capricorn, since they cannot complement each other. Such relationships showcases the personality aspect of combinations. For the Star school of lunar astrology, let's say The Child is together with The Moon. This could be symbolic of an introverted individual whose deep thoughts will nudge him towards his personal growth journey. Now add in an activator B attached to The Moon and everything described will be so very different! Using astrology in this way is pretty traditional - it's good to have a rough gauge of yourself or a particular situation, but it cannot tell you what are the conditions needed to achieve success, the correct timing to execute crucial plans, and what are the repercussions of doing said plans. A principled Aries CEO who insists that his judgement is correct or an Aries sloth who simply refuses to find work are both very obstinate indeed but with such differing lifepaths!

The second school of lunar astrology is the Activator school. In this branch, emphasis is placed on the activators that will cause a star to react. As an analogy, if the Star School of astrology is Captain America, then the Activator School is then the Super Soldier serum! No matter how good a star combination is, if nothing is activated in the right way, then nothing tangible will come out of it. Nothing will happen and nothing will change. There are four activators and 18 stars in total are used in analysis. My particular branch of astrology specializes in getting tangible results for given situations. We all have choices to make for given situations. If life were a tree, then its branches will represent the different possible paths that we could take. And for each choice that we make, we embark on a journey that particular branch on our personal tree of life leads us to. Some branches are better while some are worse off. This could be likened to choosing a partner; for some it's that "perfect" romance becoming ... the perfect nightmare. For others that "not so cute" guy that you probably wouldn't choose if you had a choice turns out having your back all the way. With this concept in mind, using our astrological framework we can then deduce the best possible branch for a given situation as well as the conditions required to achieve success in that endeavor. Or from another perspective, the worst outcome of that particular endeavor and what we can do to mitigate some of the unintended blowback of that fateful decision.

Take for example: Let's say a client is hesitant about starting her own bakery business, with no prior experience in baking. Is that possible? Closer inspection of her chart reveals that from the years 2009-2010 the client could be quitting her old job to learn a new skill, baking included, subjected to various conditions. This forms the foundation to set up the bakery in the year 2010, with the condition of only selling specialized bakes and customized offerings, unlike a cafe-style bakery dealing with assorted bakes. Her unborn child will also bring massive luck to her career flow! Opening up a few bakery branches after the initial success is also a viable way to boost the wealth - not more than three branches though as the probability of things going downhill rises exponentially. And in a couple of years, sell off that brand and move on to another industry or to another type of F&B offering. Utilizing the astrological framework in this way, we will then be able to help the client achieve his or her goals effectively, swiftly and concretely. Do note that not all cases studies require this depth of detail; 95% of the cases can be solved using just one to two crucial conditions.

Certain types of life analysis tend to confer the belief that outcomes are predetermined and inevitable, leading individuals to feel powerless and passive in shaping their lives. If that is the case and if you cannot change the result of a situation, then why bother to go for a reading in the first place? With the exception of a small percentage of special events, the majority of events are actually pretty malleable; changing your mentality refocuses your life path, leading you to meet new people and experiencing life changing events which you never once expected. Alternatively, using fengshui to change your life path is also possible. The correct fengshui moves will drastically correct the mistakes in your life and in the process change your life path but there are conditions to be fulfilled. So, instead of focusing on traditional pop astrology which focuses on your innate characteristic traits, ask what choices are to be made and their associated conditions so that you can go on to achieve your dreams in the most efficient and practical way!
